The virtual meeting room is equipped with a computer and equipment for video conferencing, sound-reducing paneling, a white noise machine, and a power strip.A newly dedicated space for equipped for virtual meetings and appointments now is available to reserve on the first floor of Sterne Library.

The virtual meeting room is equipped with a computer and equipment for video conferencing, sound-reducing paneling, a white noise machine, and a power strip.
The room can be reserved for two-hour timeslots by anyone with a valid ONE Card; no renewals are permitted unless preapproved by UAB Libraries staff. No studying or group work is permitted in the virtual meeting room.
“So many integral parts of our lives happen online and in virtual spaces, and that’s why it’s important for UAB Libraries to provide a space that can facilitate those interactions,” said Alliemarie Humphries, Sterne Library supervisor. “We’re excited to be able to offer a specially equipped space to Blazers who need to take virtual meetings or appointments.”
