Sterne Library

Instructors

Instructors may place books, photocopies, select links to websites, or articles in UAB licensed databases on a reserve list for a class by filling out a course reserve request form. Items to be placed on Reserve may be part of the library's existing collection or instructors may place personal items in the library. The course reserve form may be filled out in person at the Sterne HUB desk or online using this electronic form.

Students

Reserve materials are available at the HUB and may be checked out with a valid UAB identification card. Most Reserve materials may be checked out for a short time only and usually must be used in the library, but some may be checked out overnight. (Loan periods are set by the instructors when the items are placed on Reserve). Students will be informed of return time or date at checkout.

Lister Hill Library

Lister Hill Library provides access to current print textbooks and resources for the health sciences schools.  This small collection of books is housed at the Lister Hill HUB and resides in either the school or test prep collections. These materials are available for a one-day checkout period with no renewals.  Individuals with questions regarding these collections should contact Errica Evans.
